Project title: “Development of a Lightweight, Mobile Robot for Hazardous Industrial and Rescue Operations, Weighing up to 650 kg, for Use in Confined Spaces”
Project description:
The project involves conducting R&D activities aimed at creating a product innovation for the global market — a lightweight robot for hazardous industrial and rescue operations, weighing up to 650 kg, equipped with a remote manipulation and control system enabling operation in an isolated remote mode (i.e., manipulation and control of the machine from a distance, without the operator’s direct visual contact, in an isolated work environment).
The scope of the project includes the implementation of the R&D module, comprising two tasks:
Task 1: Development of a system for the robot’s isolated remote operation, utilising environmental analysis and acquisition of operational data.
Task 2: Construction of a prototype lightweight robot with a hybrid drive system, integration with systems for acquiring positional data of the working mechanism and for environmental analysis, along with the development of the isolated remote control system.
Project results:
The outcome of the project will be the first industrial lightweight multipurpose robot for hazardous tasks on the market, featuring:
- A hybrid drive system.
- Remote control in isolation mode of a working arm with a reach of 3.0 m horizontally and 3.5 m vertically, with a minimum load capacity of 125 kg at a horizontal reach of 3.0 m.
- An environmental recognition and collision avoidance system for performing hazardous work in isolated remote operation mode.
Target users of the final product will primarily include fire brigades, rescue teams, the cement manufacturing industry, the steel manufacturing industry, other processing industries, and construction companies.

Project title: “Development of a 5-ton industrial heavy-duty multipurpose robot with a control and remote operation management system”
Project Description:
The project involves R&D work aimed at developing a globally innovative product: a multipurpose 5-ton industrial robot (ARE 5.0) equipped with a control and remote operation management system. This system enables long-distance operation via the internet or other data transmission methods without the operator’s visual supervision.
The project scope includes the implementation of an R&D module comprising two tasks:
- Development of a remote operation system for the robot using work environment analysis and robot operation data acquisition
- Construction of a hybrid-powered robot prototype, integrated with data acquisition systems for working unit positioning and work environment analysis, along with the development of a remote operation systemof a hybrid-powered robot prototype, integrated with data acquisition systems for working unit positioning and environmental analysis, along with the development of a remote operation system.
The project’s outcome will be a 5-ton heavy-duty multipurpose robot featuring the following innovations:
- Hybrid drive system.
- Arm reach: 7.2m horizontally and 7.5m vertically, with a minimum load capacity of 800kg.
- Remote operation control using inverse kinematics, a set of measurement sensors, and an environmental analysis system with data acquisition and analysis.
The end users of this innovative device will primarily be owners of facilities such as cement plants, steel mills, and nuclear power plants. It will also serve specialized construction companies and firms responsible for demolition, maintenance, and repair work at these facilities, as well as during the construction and renovation of new and old buildings.

Main goal of the project:
The aim of the project is to develop an innovative multitasking industrial robot adapted to work in industrial facilities with a control system based on new algorithms, which will contribute, through the implementation of the results of R&D works, i.e. an innovative product, to the increase in innovation and competitiveness of the Company.
